Road Trip! PHYTEC and TI On The Run

Two of our favorite dudes hit the road to collaboratively visit customers together and deliver all the hard work that Spencer Black True Loan Garrett Giordano and Zach Hudson contributed to the Eaton AM62x EV Experience! They all worked extremely hard to prepare an EV charging demo for Fernando to show to Eaton in person in Georgia and it was a phenomenal success. Just another example of how when we work together we can achieve BIG things, even when it seems impossible.  Also, shoutout to Lacey Redinger  for packaging everything up to perfection for the ultimate customer experience. In addition to visiting Eaton, they also visited Landis & Gyr and Gigagrid, and Fernando visited Vertiv and Anduril (Area-I) on his own.

It's Getting Hot In Here - New Thermal Accessory Kits

Lacey Redinger and Madelyn Treloar finally made their dream of having thermal accessory kits a reality! With the help of Craig Day,  Dezirae Archuleta, Serah Peterson , and Nicole Macias they put in some serious sweat equity that will result in phyCORE-AM62x and phyCORE-AM64x customers being able to purchase thermal accessory kits online very soon with everything they need for assembly neatly packaged in custom kit boxes. Not only will this help in accelerating application design timelines, but these kits will facilitate faster development and overall simplify the customer experience. 

The Sign - Dippin' Dez and an August Birthday Tradition

We have a tradition at PHYTEC America to shock Dezirae Archuleta on her birthday. I don’t know why we picked Dez but we did and she is a good sport about it. In the past she has had cakes galore (including one with a picture of her cat Mazzy enjoying Tapatio Hot Sauce), a cowboy western costume party, and Pia the Peacekeeper walk. This year was no different and we celebrated with an overload of Dippin’ Dots - a classic 90s treat here in the US. Dippin’ Dots is a company from Paducah, Kentucky founded in 1988 with the marketing slogan Ice Cream of the Future. I saw the sign and it opened up my eyes to the exciting new concept from PHYTEC Future Proof Solder Core (FPSC) that is being introduced later this year for our Direct Solder SOM designs… these are the SOMs of the Future

Island in the Sun - The Phytools Pickleball Champ

Did you know Pickleball was founded on Bainbridge Island, Washington. Just like PHYTEC America and Phytools. Pickleball is a racket sport that is a cross between tennis and ping pong. Mary from Phytools is a pickleball pro and participated in the Founders Tournament on Bainbridge Island. She was on the podium in the first day playing Mixed Doubles. The PHYTEC crew seen here went to cheer her on in Day #2.

On Wednesday all colleagues in Mainz met with our managing directors who presented the newest market developments. The lunch (and the song this American author referenced) was of course, very German: Rindwurst im Brötchen mit Salat. Looks delicious!

Your Song - ST Microelectronics Tech Days

And you could tell everybody... Our colleagues in China participated in ST Micro’s Tech Days with a very sleek booth. While this blog post was a bit of a last minute idea, Claire from PHYTEC China Marketing also let me know that the team also organizes two sports activities every month, but it was postponed in August due to the Tech Days. Looking forward to seeing photos from those events in future updates!
